Stephen Trimmer Obituary
1949 - 2020
Stephen Douglas Trimmer, 71, of Baltimore, passed away on November 23, 2020. He was born on September 5, 1949 to Donald and Ann (Heidloff) Trimmer. Stephen was a Marine Corp Veteran who earned a purple heart in the Vietnam War, and served his country proudly. He continued to serve in many organizations such as the Combat Motorcycle Vets Association, VFW Post 9473- where he was an active member of the color guard, American Legion 283, AMVets 51, Forty8 Vets Association, NRA, Vietnam Veterans of America, and so many more. Stephen also retired from Columbus City Schools where he was a plummer for many years. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and put many miles on his Indian and Harley. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Deborah Trimmer, Robin Kegelmayer, and Martin Trimmer. Stephen is survived by loving wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Trimmer; sons, Michael (Becci) and John Trimmer; grandchildren, Austin, Angelica, and Victoria; brothers, Aaron (Pam) and David (Debbie) Trimmer; sister-in-law, Colleen Trimmer; many more nieces and nephews – who called him their big teddy bear, extended family, and a host of friends to many to count. His family will be having private services under the care of Cotner Funeral Home. Donations in Stephen's memory may be made to the Reynoldsburg VFW Color Guard, 1420 S Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.

I met Steve at the Reynoldsburg VFW and we were both on the Veterans' Color Guard. I knew him as Marine Santa for his white hair and beard. He was an excellent man. He is missed.

Steve is a HERO. Once a Marine always a Marine. Steve was funny, witty, a laugh every time. He made me smile every time I saw him at the VA.
RIP marine. You were a great person and friend. You will be missed. Kathy my heart goes out to you. I pray for peace in your soul. Steve travel in heaven on those 2 wheels.

Steve is a hero. His life reflects that. If you knew him, consider yourself fortunate. He is my cousin, I always wanted to be his brother. The definition of strong, courageous, dependable, and US Marine is Steven D Trimmer. His shoes will never be filled by anyone on this side of heaven. He made me proud to be a Trimmer. Steve was one in a million......I enjoyed being around him. Steve was a very proud Marine, done so much for the Veterans, and he made Beautiful boxes to display the US Flag for Several Veterans. He also headed several of funerals of Fallen Veterans funerals on his motorcycle....
His neighbors and their children loved him.
He will be missed!!
