I only met Steve this past summer on my daughter's softball team. In the brief time I knew him, I could definitely tell that he enjoyed spending time with his children and that he enjoyed being a dad. He often went back and forth between softball and baseball fields, changing hats to the respective team, helping out with their teams and watching his children.

He seemed like a nice guy with a great sense of humor and he will be obviously be missed by all. In my mind's eye I can still see him taking over the grill at NW Swim Club for our team picnic and thorougly enjoying himself cooking and chatting and just enjoying the beautiful summer day....

Steve went out of his way to come to me and talk with me when I was at Segna a little while ago. We had a wonderful conversation, and I am so glad!

My thoughts are with you, Lisa, as you take care of your wonderful family. I remember from working with you in Clintonville that you have great personal strength and determination and I believe you will do extremely well for yourself and your beautiful kids.

To the Murray Family,

I just met Steve this past summer and it didn't take long to see what a great person he was. I had a good time coaching with him and I am glad that I had the chance to know him. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Lisa--Our hearts ache for you and your children. Steve will be missed forever, especially by his family, friends and golfing buddies.

Mark had me laughing on the way to Columbus today. He talked about the orange "koozie" that all the guys took on the Cincinnati golf trip. Mark put everyone's nickname on each with a black marker. Steve's said "Mev" instead of "Merv" and no one noticed until the end of the weekend! (Guess they had other things to notice)

Steve was always smiling and we only hope that in these rough times, that remembered smile will help to brighten the days.

Take care of yourself!

I was Cole's youth football coach this fall. My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathies to your family. I only met Steve over these last few months. However, It was obvious that he had a profound love and joy for Cole. I'm certain that he shared this same passion for the rest of his family. I pray that Cole would know how proud his dad was of him and how much happiness he brought to his dad.

In these times, we have to rely on our faith and our relationship with others. If there is anything I can do to help you or Cole adjust to this loss, please let me know. Our prayers are with you and your family.
