Dear Friends and Family,

Rarely a day goes by that Ned and I do not think of or see something that reminds us of Susan. I am sure the holidays were particularly tough on all of us. Susan was such a beautiful package wrapper, and every gift was personally and specifically wrapped for each person. She would spend hours in the labor of love of wrapping. Choosing special papers and ribbons for each person. (Always making me feel like a slob who didn't care!)
Now we are in Florida, and our project this month is converting a huge collection of tapes to MP3. We have so many tapes we have collected over the years. Susan was an active part in our BP collection. I have so many cassettes with labels and notes done in Susan's handwriting that she is right here with me. Only shes not and I miss her.

Dear Friends and Family of Susan,
Thanksgiving was another happy time of remembering the recent holidays Susan spent with my family and I before heading to Florida. Ironically, my late brother in law Phil was consoling me as Susan left and I worried that we might not see her again after her move to Florida. Then, he died suddenly of a stroke a few days later. This Year I had to do with talking to Susan in my mind. I still hear her voice and intonations clearly. I think these are stronger for me since we talked so often by phone with fewer face to face visits these last years.
Warm regards to all who loved her, Carol Ritting

There have been so many instances when I think, wait until Susan hears about this, and then losing her strikes me once again.
Susan was a great cook, this comes to mind as I am chained to the stove preparing for Thanksgiving. She had an innate sense of what to do to prepare a dish and had a stack of cookbooks as well. This is a difficult time of the year when one has just recently lost someone they loved and admired.
Best wishes to all.

Dear Steve and family,
Susan touched many lives and left an indelible impression. She was like a sister to me. Her sense of humor never left her, despite her terrible illness. I will miss her terribly, but she will always be a part of my life. My deepest sympathy to all the Armstrongs. MADGE

Dear Steve & Family, I am saddened to hear of Sue's death. I have such great memories from elementary through high school ~ the pink Cadillac adventures show me (as an adult) just how brave she was. She had a terrific wit and it sounds as if she carried that throughout her life. I am sorry we lost touch. My prayers are with you and your family. Leeann (Acox)Davis
