Terry & I were neighbors in the woods of Taney County, MO. We spent some quality time together singing, laughing & story telling. One night at Karaoke in Rockaway Beach, along with the owner of The Jolly Roger, we surprised the crowd with some three part harmony. The crowd didn't know we were professionals. Some Good Times!

I am heartbroken to learn of Terrys passing.
He was such a talented singer and I was very fortunate to attend some of his early day gospel sings.
He was a true friend. Even after many years had passed he was instrumental in finding a job for me after a move from Illinois to help support my Family. Even after years he hadn't forgotten.
I don't think Terry ever met a stranger. His kindness and concern for others was overwhelming.
I am sure he was a great Husband and Father. His Family was truly blessed. I pray that the precious memories of him will help you all through this very difficult time. I will always think of him and smile.
I am so very sorry I am just now finding out about this. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. With deep heartfelt Sympathy,
Karen Miller Teter

Met Terry in Branson because of my mom Nancy Morris. She has recently passed to that heavenly choir. I am a music fan of almost all genres. Terry had THE most powerful set of pipes I've ever heard. Thoughts and prayers. I will miss you till I get THERE brrother.

I have always felt privileged to know the Kaufman boys - Terry, Sammy, Billy and Bob - through their early gospel days and the transition to country music and had the privilege of being a helping hand with the band when Terry was with Ridgetop Records.
The last time I saw the four of them singing together was in a church in Columbus and it's a memory I cherish - such love for each other and the sharing of their talent was heartwarming to behold.
I was sorry to have missed him in Branson as we were passing through, finding out he was back in Columbus due to Bill's illness. I have followed his beautiful voice and heartfelt singing online over the years and my heart breaks for the family for their loss, even though I know the world's loss is Heaven's gain.
Prayers go out to the entire family and may God's angels wrap their arms around you all during this very difficult time for you.

I had to buy a cassette player to hear most of his songs. One of them was " I'm only human, I'm just a man, Help me to believe in what I could be in all that I am.
This song is " One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from You. He was courageous and sometimes fearful, but then his pastor prayed and as did all of us.
This earthly journey is over and again I want to thank Cathy and all those who cheered him up and made him smile and those who are sharing their kind thoughts.

Having lost a sibling to cancer as well, I know the sense of loss and grief. On the other hand knowing how amazing it must be to hang out with our heavenly Father and others who have gone before him to be reunited is so cool. He is looking out and over all of your family now along with your parents. So much peace comes with that. Love and blessings to you all as you morn the loss of him on this earth.

I had the pleasure of growing up just a few miles from the Kaufman's.
I knew Vicki, Sammy, and Terry the most.
I remember Shirley as well because her daughters and I are fairly close in age.
I also had the pleasure of getting to know Bill when my brother and I would go to hear him and Bob sing.
Terry has been and always will be one of my favorite singers. There is something so unique about his voice that is so pleasing to me. Mom Vaughan and I used to just sit and listen...and sing along to his music. I've been listening to the Branson cassette lately in honor of Terry.
My heart hurts for the whole family.
Big prayers for all who knew him.

Terry was my funny brother. He could always make me laugh with a goofy face or ridiculous line. He loved people and animals. His voice was an instruent God used to reach into the hearts of his listeners. Even in the final weeks he still kept singing. When it's your passion, you can't help but sing. Terry still sings today. I think Heaven may have been silent for a few minutes when Terry arrived. I can just hear Jesus say to the angels and saints, "Just listen to this voice!" and then when Terry finished his last note of "The Lord's Prayer", they all joined him in singing praises to our Savior. Terry is just ahead of us. We will see him soon. A special thank you to his loving wife. Cathy who carried out his wish to be at home his final days. We can never thank you enough Cathy. Love you. Thank you to Charlie for being a true friend.

Loved his smile and energy for life. We always enjoyed the music in Columbus and Branson. I was thankful for the opportinity to give a helping hand when he made the transition from music back into the factory workforce.

Terry is and always will be my brother. A very funny and talented guy. I will always be able to hear him sing and I am sure he is singing now in heaven with dad and mom and Bill. More important, he is sitting at our Savior's feet and has a body that is cancer free! No more pain or sorrow for him. Even as we grieve, we acknowledge that he is in a better place. Love and miss you!

Sending so much love to Terry's wife, Cathy, his sisters Shirley, Bev, and Vicki, his brothers Bob and Sam and his entire extended family. I will cherish the times I visited Terry in Branson to hear him sing and his fun sense of humor. I know Terry is singing again in the heavenly choir with so many of our loved ones.
