Thomas George Andrian, 95, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Feridean Commons in Westerville. Born in Jacksonville, FL on September 13, 1922, Tom spent most of his childhood growing up in Florida and New York. As a teenager he moved to Tucson, AZ, where he graduated from Tucson Senior High School in 1940. Tom was the youngest of six children and the family moved frequently based on his father's occupation as a gourmet chef. Tom began his college education at The University of Arizona but studied at several universities across the country because of his assignments with the U.S. Army. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942, where he was an Electrical Specialist, working on B-24 Bombers. Upon his honorable discharge in 1946, Tom attended Ohio University, graduating in 1948 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was accepted to the MBA program at Harvard University, but declined the offer to begin his lifelong career at The Ohio Bell Telephone Co. Tom worked for the same company for 34 years, retiring in 1982 as a district manager. While at Ohio University, Tom met Ruth Ann Grover. They married in 1946 and had two children, Christina and Thomas. Upon Ruth Ann's death, he met Mary Armstrong at church and they married in 1966 at Bexley United Methodist Church. Tom and Mary had a son, David, and they lived in Bexley for over 40 years. Tom was a lifetime member of the Lions Club International as well as the Ohio State University Presidents Club. He was an avid reader, loved to exercise, and greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his wives, Ruth Ann(Grover) Andrian and Mary (Armstrong) Andrian, and his son, Thomas. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Chandler, of Atlanta, GA; his son, David Andrian (Stephanie), of Galena, OH; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Reception to follow.
