Thomas Armstrong Obituary

Armstrong Thomas Armstrong, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 18, 2015. His son, Stephen was by his bedside when he went home to be with his Lord. Thomas was born in Stockton, PA on January 21, 1915 to Ralph and Bessie (Woolridge) Armstrong. His family moved to a farm outside of Waverly, OH when Thomas was 2 years old. After graduating from Piketon High School, Thomas was employed by C&O Railroad. He went on to become a veteran of World War II. Thomas was known for his kind and generous heart and his willingness to help others in need. He was retired from the Timken Roller Bearing Company. He and his wife Edith owned and operated Pink Stilts Ceramic Supplies. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Edith F. Armstrong, his parents, one sister Bessie Jane and six brothers Ralph, John, David, James, George and Carl. Thomas is survived by his devoted son, Stephen C. Armstrong. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Lockbourne Church of Christ in Christian Union. Burial will be in Obetz Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Circleville. Online condolences may be made at www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com

Happy Birthday Thomas 100years today! I think of you now in celebration with your beloved Edith, your faithful wife and companion of many years. I see you with Mama,Papa and your siblings and a host of family and friends. I look ahead to the far future when you are joined with your beloved Son Steve and now with you all together the circle will be unbroken. RIP Thomas.
