Tony, did my hair when he was working at his shop in Carriage Place. He was a very kind, sweet soul who was an exceptional hair designer. Was sad to hear of his passing. Thank you Tony, for the times you did my hair, and for being a kind friend! You will be dearly missed by many! My thoughts and prayers to Tony's family.

Oh Tony how I miss our conversations we had every 5-6 weeks for many years. No one and I truly mean no one can cut and color my hair like you did! My husband passed unexpectedly 3.5 years ago so I hope you and CK are having a glass of red wine in heaven! Love you BT! Aka Big Tony!❤

I can't express my saddness at the loss of a wonderful, caring gentleman. Tony has taken care of me for several years now and I always looked forward to seeing him each month, he was the only person who could get my color right! He was truly an artist. He will be missed very much, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, he always lit up when he spoke of his grandkids. Tony, you will never be forgotten. Jayme (Bexley)

Tony was a wonderful, caring, and sincere gentleman. I've know Tony since I was 16 years old. He did my mother's hair for years and enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies she always brought him. He will truly be missed for his warm personality and great talent. You all are fortunate to have such fond memories of a kind and generous husband, father and grandfather.

I picked Tony out of the yellow pages when I moved to Columbus over 5 years ago. I was never sorry. He was a genuinely sweet man, always finding something about you to compliment. He made me feel good about myself. He took time to understand my hair texture and how it grew - cowlicks and all. No one cut my hair like Tony, and I will miss his company even more than I will miss the great job he did on my hair. I am so, so sorry for your loss

Tony cut my hair for 26 years. It was a great run. In the fall of 1993, Opera Columbus sponsored a fund-raiser for their grand re-opening: “The Barber of Seville.” Patrons of Columbus barbers and hair stylists were asked to vote for their favorite “barber” by putting coins in boxes left at salons and shops by Opera Columbus. I took up the cause for Tony and his loyal clients contributed more money for Tony than was collected citywide for all the barbers and stylists put together! That’s how much Tony was loved and revered. He won “The Barber of Seville” contest hands down and he and Debi were awarded prizes and graciously recognized by Opera Columbus on opening night. Photos of the affair were published in five area papers. Tony was a talent who left a tremendous legacy. My deepest condolences go out to all members of Tony’s extended family.

Tony was a wonderful man and I was fortunate to have known him. He always beamed when he spoke of his family. He was my hair stylist for over 30 years. He was incredibly talented, but more importantly he was always warm and caring. Going to see Tony was always a treat and I will miss him terribly. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Tony was the kindest most gentle soul. I only had the pleasure of knowing him 6.5 years when I began my "hair affair" with him as I called it. In my entire life I had never found a more talented, caring, hairdresser. All over the City and beyond, there are women shedding tears right now over the loss of "The Great Tony". I was quite vocal to people when asked "who does your hair".....I quickly would rattle off 442-TONY....he's the best in the city! He loved his customers and they loved him in return. I also have the pleasure of knowing his son Greg and often would talk to Tony about him and Tony was so proud of his Children. His love for them, his Wife, and his Grandchildren were very heartwarming. Their loss is profound and my heart goes out to all of The Valentino family. May God Bless all of you and one day lessen the pain as you enjoy the many memories and gifts Tony brought to your lives. He will be incredibly missed! Love, prayers, and my sincere condolences....Joyce Rhinehart
