Viola A. Thomas Anderson, age 92, of Worthington, Ohio, died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Wesley Glen Retirement Center, Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by husbands David L. Thomas, Sr., W. Eugene Anderson, and George W. Eckert, as well as Mother and Father Mabel and Lloyd Lyke and infant sister Eva. Survived by sons, David L. Thomas, Jr., Craig P. Thomas; daughter, Kathryn A. (Wade) Roskam; four grandchildren, Jordan Thomas, Portia Barna, Allison Gulick and Chelsea Gulick; as well as a dear cousin, Clifford Davis of Traverse City Michigan. Viola was a member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church for 55 years where she served as a Deacon and Elder, she also taught Sunday School and was a member of the Woman's Association as well as the Worthington Woman's Club. She was a Registered Nurse for over 70 years and retired from Grant Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High Street, Worthington, Ohio, where friends may visit from 1-2 pm prior to the service and immediately following the service. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Empire, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Worthington Presbyterian Church or Empire United Methodist Church in Empire, Michigan.
