Virginia Trueman Obituary

Trueman Virginia L. Trueman, 77, of Upper Arlington, Ohio and Sarasota, Florida, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 17, 2015. She was born September 23, 1937 in Cleveland, was a graduate of Colinwood High School, and then went on to work at the FBI and marry her life long, best friend Jack. In 1969, Virginia and Jack, along with the family moved to Upper Arlington, then Powell, Ohio, and then back to UA in 2013, always spending her winters in Sarasota, Florida. Virginia was a long time member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in Upper Arlington and St. Thomas More in Sarasota, Florida. Virginia loved teaching exercise classes through UA Parks and Rec, volunteering at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and she was an avid tennis and bridge player. But her priority was her children, especially gathering the extended family together to make every holiday special for all. She made it to the baptisms and First Communions of 11 grand children, every high school Graduation, and was on to college graduations when she became ill. Virginia was a loving and patient wife and a caring mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Louise Nerone, and her husband Jack. Virginia leaves behind her daughters, Suzanne (Wolf) Samlowski, Las Vegas and Debbie (Tim) Weis, Upper Arlington; and her sons, Michael (Joanne) Trueman, Phoenix, and John (Anne) Trueman, Chicago; grandchildren, Lizzy, Erika, and Adam Samlowski, Jack and Will Weis, Hunter and Hayley Trueman, Hannah, Ryan, Graham, and Courtney Trueman; brother, James (Jean) Nerone; sisters-in-law, Claire and Barbara Trueman; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends in Ohio and Sarasota, two beloved bridge groups, and her Sarasota tennis team. Family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Agatha Church, 1860 Northam Road, Columbus, Ohio, Fr. Daniel Ochs, Celebrant. Virginia was a loyal and faithful member of the Christ Child Society in Sarasota. We will miss her smile and ready helping hand. We were the two "Virginia's" and they were always mixing us up; then a third Virginia joined the group! Our prayers are with the family.
