Walter Moerch Obituary

Moerch, Jr. Walter R. "Bob" Moerch, Jr., age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Pataskala Oaks Care Center. He was born on April 6, 1921 to the late Walter R. Moerch Sr. and Mary (Skinner) Moerch in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII 1943 -1946. He is retired owner of Dr. Bob's Bug Hospital. He was a member of Ralph Rickly Lodge #0670, Eastern Star Beacon Chapter, also a member of Achbar Grotto. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Helen (Weber) Moerch, also brothers Earl Moerch and Donald Moerch, sisters Edna McDaniel and Doris Holtsbacker. Survived by children, Skip (Shortie) Moerch and Walt (Chris) Moerch; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015. I did not ever meet or know about Mr. Moerch, but truly wish the obituary would have been seen sooner to pay my respect and possibly hear stories about our family. Hope all the family will get through as best as possible.Maybe someday we will meet & hear stories of what would be my great great uncle.
