William Wonn Obituary

WONN William J. (Bill) Wonn, age 72, a loving and giving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, entered his eternal rest on June 5, 2007, at Riverside Hospital. He retired from Willamette Industries in 1998 and enjoyed golf and travel. While two of his granddaughters were at St. Francis DeSales High school he volunteered in the cafeteria for 7 years and also at Riverside hospital for 9 years. He was a member of St. Timothy Men's Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Darrell Wonn. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Annette (Schumacher); and sons, Gary (Barbara) and Steven. He was also Pa-Pa to his three granddaughters, Erika, Emily and Jenifer whom he adored. Also surviving are his sister, Dorothy (Paul) Butsko; his uncle, Frank Case; sisters-in-law, Martha Goodwin and Teresa (Bob) Erickson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday June 7 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270). A prayer service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at ST. TIMOTHY CHURCH, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio, celebrated by Monsignor John Johnson. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. (PROCESSION TO FORM AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Timothy Building Fund, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220 or Hospice at Riverside Hospital or a charity of your choice.
