Carlton S. Hall, 89, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born July 6, 1928 to Edgar Hannible Hall and Willie Mae Wilhite in Halltown. He was retired as Building Inspector for New Albany. He was former Supervisor at Futorian and Showood. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in New Albany. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was the best Daddy and Papaw in the world.

Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church in New Albany with funeral services to follow in the church with Rev. Tim Prather and Rev. Jeff Watts officiating. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service will be handling the arrangements.

He is survived by two daughters, Pat Rakestraw (Ronnie) and Jan Musgrove (Wayne); two sons, Gary Hall (Debbi) and Wallis Hall; two sisters, Gladys Williams and Dorothy Melson; a brother, Edgar Hall; five grandchildren, Jason Hall (Cindy), Christie Hall, Diana Sanford (Shane), Amanda Moore (Jon) and Joanna Porter (Nathan); and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Wallis Hall; two sisters, Macie Rakestraw Swann and Eleanor McKeown; two brothers, William Lacy Hall and Cecil P. Hall; and a grandson, Sam Floyd.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Moore, Shane Sanford, Nathan Porter, Dwight Hall, Steve Hall and Hollis Rakestraw. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hugh Clayton Sunday School Class.
