Stanley Reeves

1946 - 2025

William Stanley Reeves, 78, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at his home in Becker. Stanley was born in his family home on November 20, 1946, in Okolona to William S. Reeves and Hazel Carlisle Reeves Herndon. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Stanley worked during the construction of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and drove over the road. Seeking to have his own company, he continued to operate over the road. In 1971, he married Joan Trimm. He liked restoring old cars and was most known for his love for old Ford Broncos. His hobbies included mud riding and fishing but enjoyed doing anything outdoors, and he was a charter member of Stanford Creek Hunting Club.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett and Rev. Anthony Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, James Ronald Reeves (Gwendolyn), Tupelo and Mike Reeves (Tiffany), Amory; two daughters, Debbie Knight and Tiffany Parham, both of Amory; one sister, Jeannie Reeves Threadgill, Ackerman; his grandchildren, Will Reeves, Anna Reeves, Nikki Jung, Chris Pickle, and Roxanne Schnider; his great-granddaughter, Amelia Jung, and special niece, Amanda Simmons (Anthony).

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Reeves; one brother, Ronald Reeves; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Carlisle and William Byron and Annie Lyons Reeves; grandson, Jamie Knight and granddaughter, April Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Keith Parham, Chris Pickle, Scott Flurry, Will Reeves, James Holloway, Darrell Bennett, Herbie Carlisle, and Phillip Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Tartt and Charlie Tartt.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
