Dana Newman Obituary

Dana R. Newman

Dana R. Newman, age 66, of Winchester, IN and formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

He was born on June 30, 1948 in Union City, IN to Harold and Mary (Bolin) Newman. He was a 1966 graduate of Union City Community High School and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenance at an apartment complex in Tennessee. Dana enjoyed going to flea markets.

Survivors include two daughters, Angie Nickell and Nikole Baldridge; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Donna (husband Fred) Oliver and Marcia (husband Roger) Miller; three brothers, Darrell Newman, Dennis (wife Deb) Newman and David Newman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Timothy Nickell.

A time to celebrate Dana's life will be on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, IN. There will not be a funeral service. Military Rites will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Services for Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394 or to the Crossroads Federal Credit Union, c/o Walker Funeral Home, 151 N. Middle School Rd., Winchester, IN 47394.
