DALE VOGEL

DALE VOGEL CIMARRON - Dale Eugene Vogel, Cimarron, entered Eternal Life on August 16, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, surrounded by his family. The third son of M. Leon and Agnes (Pat)(Temaat) Vogel of Wright, Kansas, Dale was born on September 24, 1955. He graduated from St. Andrews Catholic Grade School in Wright, Spearville High School, Dodge City Community College, and Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude. Immediately after college he was hired by Conoco Oil Company in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and spent his entire career with Conoco Oil, retiring in 2009 at age 53. During his tenure with Conoco, he also lived in Lake Charles, LA, and traveled to Denver, Houston, Billings and Wales as part of a special traveling team for the refinery. After his retirement he moved to Cimarron, and enjoyed helping brother Alan with the family farm, and brother Gerald with his tax and accounting business. He liked traveling, especially on bus trips, and being with family and playing various card games, especially pinochle. He was very active in St. Stanislaus Church in Ingalls, serving on several councils and commissions. He is survived by siblings Gerald and wife Joan, Cimarron, Wayne and wife Katie, Yukon, OK, Elaine Evans and husband Ron, Bucklin, Alan and wife Beth, Wright, Lois Hubbell and husband Dan, Andover, and Jeanne Ast and husband Steve, Colwich, and numerous nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents Martin and Adela Vogel and Fred and Katherine Temaat and nephew Mathew Hubbell. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Church, Ingalls. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Church with Fr. Ben Green presiding. Burial will be at 2:00 pm August 27, 2025 at St. Andrew Cemetery, Wright. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from noon to 4:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
