Barbara Jane Adams Jimerson, age 71, a resident of Cowarts, died April 3, 2016, at her residence after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in the Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Freeman and Reverend Mark Bristow officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. At other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, 103 Sockeye Court, Dothan, Alabama 36301. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Cowarts Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Drawer 10, Cowarts, AL 36321. Mrs. Jimerson was born on April 22, 1944 in Houston County, Alabama, the daughter of the late William W. Adams and Mary Helen Mills Adams. She worked throughout her life retiring from Globe Motors. Mrs. Jimerson was a member of the Cowarts Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Buck Adams, and a grandson, Ethan Mark Bristow. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Charles Jimerson, a son, Tony Jimerson (Angie), a daughter, Debbie Bristow (Mark), and two grandchildren, Bailey and Arizona.
