Jonathan McCall Obituary

Mr. Jonathan Scott McCall of South State Highway 109, Slocomb, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009. He was 28.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Revs. Johnny Strickland and Ben Barnes and Chaplain David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Grider Town Church of Christ Cemetery in Opp with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Scott attended Burns Assembly of God Church. He was born on Nov. 15, 1980, in Opp. He graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1999. He loved to hunt and fish.
His maternal grandparents, Bill and Pearl Hall; and his paternal grandfather, Johnny McCall, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother and father, John Larry McCall and Cheryl Hall McCall of Slocomb; a daughter, Abby McCall of Slocomb; a sister and brother-in-law, Tracey McCall Thomas and her husband, Brandon; grandmother, Mary Catherine McCall; and a special nephew, Austin "Blake" Thomas; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
