JUNIOR E. BEDSOLE

Junior E. Bedsole Junior E. Bedsole, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, died early Thursday morning, August 25, 2011, at his home. He was 65. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Tim McCraney officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M. Saturday in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Elba, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 5786 County Road 73, Midland City. Mr. Bedsole was a native of Elba, Alabama, son of the late Jesse Edward Bedsole and Syble Louise Kilpatrick Bedsole. He lived in Headland for forty years before moving to Midland City in 2004. Mr. Bedsole was currently employed with Thompson Farms in the Sylvan Grove Community, near Midland City. and was engaged in farming in the Headland and Midland City areas most of his adult lifetime. Surviving relatives include his wife, Shirley Sims Bedsole, Midland City; two daughters, Melinda Tidwell, Webb; Kimberlee Parnell and husband, Bryant, Newville; two sons, Mark Dewayne Bedsole and wife, Madonna; Brian Bedsole and wife, Valerie, all of Midland City; four sisters, Dorothy Chandler, Hilton, GA; Christine Capps, New Brockton, AL; Sue Poston, Enterprise, AL; and Marlene Archie, Enterprise, AL; a brother, J.M. Bedsole, Geneva, AL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Billy Sims, Elba, AL; Bob Sims and wife, Elizabeth, Elba, AL; Brenda Driggers, Samson, AL; Pat King and husband, O.C., Elba, AL; eight grandchildren, Pamela Johnson and husband, Ashley; Christopher Bedsole and wife, Jennifer; Jenny Parnell, Blake Bedsole, Jessy Parnell, Abby Thompson and husband, Nathan; Hannah Bedsole and Bunny Kidd; six great-grandchildren, Dixie Johnson, Stanley Johnson, Justin Bedsole, Aleigha Bedsole, Anna Kidd and Elijah Kidd; an adopted son, Kenneth Tidwell, Webb. Serving as active pallbearers will be Tracy Bedsole, Travis Archie, Greg Chandler, Angus Poston, Earl Teal, Blake Bedsole, Steve Garrett and Christopher Bedsole.
