Michael David Wiggins, a resident of Dothan, died Monday morning, May 10, 2021 at his home. He was 39.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dave Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Echo. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Michael was born June 24, 1981 in Ozark, Alabama. He attended Richmond Senior High School and Colorado Christian University. Michael was currently employed with Billy Barnes Trucking in Monroeville, Alabama as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, driving his diesel truck, and was an avid University of Alabama Football fan. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Daryl Wiggins and Elizabeth Loggins Wiggins; and sister, Diane Sessoms.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Ashley Wiggins; three daughters, Makyla Wiggins, Allison Wiggins, and Madelyn Wiggins; his other parents, Donald Simmons (Sandra) and Synetha Jones; eight sisters, Elaine Campbell (Jerry), Donna Davis, Elisha Senn (Ashley), Jennifer Barr (Justin), Starla Spear (his best friend), Dana Ammons, Carolyn Ganous, and Kayla Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles including a special great-niece, Ella Johnson.
