Michael Williams Obituary

Michael Scott Williams, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Marianna, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his residence. He was 65 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Chris Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Scott was born June 21, 1953 in Miami, FL and lived there the early part of his life and graduated from Southwest High School. He moved to Marianna in the 1970's and was employed as an iron worker and electrician. Later he worked with the Graceville Hospital as head of maintenance and Jackson Hospital as an electrician. Scott loved raising ostriches on his farm and loved the outdoors especially spending time at his pond. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was well known for growing the best tomatoes for his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Schlobohm; his son, Jonathan Scott "John" Williams; sisters, Regena (John) Rabun and Nyoka (Al) Atkinson.
