Wisnioski, Jr., age 89, of Cottondale, FL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2016. He was born on December 17, 1926 to the late Stanley W. Wisnioski Sr. and Heler Kiewicz. Stan began his military career at the age of 16 in 1943 with the United States Navy. After an 11 year career with the Navy, Stan transferred to the Army National Guard. He attended the Infantry School of Ft. Benning, GA, The Military Police Officers Basic, Advanced and Refresher Courses, a Graduate of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Army War College at Carlisle, PA. For 12 years Stan served as the Provost Marshall with the 26th (Yankee) Infantry Division in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and Masters in Education. Stan is also a retired member of the Massachusetts State Police where he worked for 25 years and served as the Director of the Criminal Justice Institution of Broward Community College. In March of 1998 Stan and Judith moved to Cottondale from Big Pine Key, FL. Stan is survived by his loving wife or 31 years, Judith Boutilier Wisnioski of Cottondale, FL, two sons, Dr. Stanley W. Wisnioski III and wife Deborah, Lt. Colonel Douglas R. Wisnioski and wife Corinne, daughter, Julie Brunet, son, Michael Moore and wife Laurie, daughter, Betsy Hibbitts, daughter, Mary Maciejko, son, Scott Moore and wife Natasha, grandchildren, Jennifer Wisnioski, Shiela LoChiato and husband Joe, Ian Wisnioski, Charlotte Rose Wisnioski, Stanley W. Wisnioski IV, Justin Brunet, Travis Brunet and wife Deanna, Cassie Brunet, Shannon Moore, Joseph Montieth, Kaula Maciejko, Mellissa Kegley and husband Chad, Elizabeth Moore, Autumn Moore, great grandchildren, Natalie LoChiato, Joshua Brunet, Shayla Johnson, Fess Johnson, Jaxton Durham, Kaylee Brunet, Christian Brunet, Paige Brunet and Ian Brunet. A Memorial Service will be held on August 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Chipley, FL with Dr. Trish Bruner officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before service time. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online register at www.brownfh.net.
