Robert Macklin Obituary
Born on June 15, 1930 in Chadds Ford, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Mary (Ryan) Macklin. A lifetime farmer, Mr. Macklin never retired; he was a hard worker with a humble spirit and was devoted to the farm. He enjoyed bluegrass music, played guitar, and had held office in the Delaware Farm Bureau.
He is survived by four children, Sue McDonald, and her husband Kevin of York, PA, Greg Macklin of Airville, PA, Tom Macklin and his wife Donna of Airville, PA, Andy Macklin and his wife Debbie of Airville, PA; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Kelly, Lindsey, April, Brian, Dustin, Matt, Nicole, Allison, Emily, and Olivia; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris King of Indiana and MaryAnn Brancheau of Arizona. He is also preceded by his son, Richard G. "Mack" Macklin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from noon to 2 p.m. in McKendree U.M. Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302. The funeral service will immediately follow in church, beginning at 2 p.m.
Rev. Gary L. Daugherty will officiate.
Interment will follow the service and be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Red Lion Area FFA, 200 Horace Mann Ave. Red Lion, PA 17356, redlionareaffa.theaet.com; or Asera Care Hospice, 44 Bowman Road, York, PA 17408; or the McKendree U.M. Church (address mentioned above).

Pap was one of the best men I've ever known. Always quick with a smile and a genuine kind person.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Bobby will be greatly missed, he made the world a wonderful place. I often think about everyone and miss you very much. I will keep you all in my prayers.
