Thomas Biesecker Obituary
Mr. Biesecker was born July 22, 1929 in Scranton, Pa., to the late Ira Biesecker and Jane Loomis Biesecker.
He served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. Mr. Biesecker was civil service for 20 years working as a jet engine mechanic at Dover Air Force Base. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Biesecker loved woodworking, traveling with his wife, including two cross country trips to visit a daughter in California. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows each night, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Bare and Jean Raymond.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Janet Biesecker of Dover; daughters, Karen Albrecht (Dane) of Vacaville, Calif., and Sandra Custer (Tony) of Downingtown, Pa.; stepdaughters, Christine Pedrotty (Joe) of Dover, and Terri Schleifer (Kevin) of Newark; stepson, Thomas Welch (Amy) of Wilmington; brother, Ira Biesecker of Scranton, Pa., 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, viewing will follow until 9 p.m. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
