Neidra Welch Obituary
Kanab, Utah
Neidra Dawn Welch of Kanab Utah passed away June 9, 2016 in Kanab Utah surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at the Kanab South Chapel on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Leeds Protestant cemetery.
Neidra was born to Glenn and Wilma Beal on October 8, 1948. She graduated from Dixie High School in 1966. Neidra spent all her life in southern Utah where she worked for DCFS and retired after 23 years. Neidra's passion was her kids, grandkids, gardening and she could never pass up a yard sale. She loved spending time out in the hills looking for arrowheads, horns and beautiful rocks and anything she could do as long as it was with her family. Family always came first with her. Mom had such an open heart, she never judged and would listen to both sides of the story and loved unconditionally and rooted for the underdog. Everyone that met mom loved her and she loved them right back.
Survivors include Natalie Holt (Greg), Brad Welch (Tyson Tomaiko), Stacie Welch, Landon Welch (Shamaree), Cody Welch (Tierney Sain), Kristy and Ferdie Rodriguez, 14 Grand kids, Brothers Ray Beal (Verylnn), Alex Beal (Jean),Sister Billie Blake (Royal) She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Wilma Beal and older brother David Keith Beal.

Neidra was one of my most favorite people in Kanab. She was one of the first people I met when I started working for the state over 25 years ago. I've been fond of her ever since and will miss her sweet personality. But as she knows, I'll never forget her birthday! I love ya Neidra!

Neidra was a good friend of mine. Our kids grew up together. Sometimes that meant turning to each other for comfort and encouragement. She was truly a good-hearted woman. It was a joy to me to go with her the first time she went to the temple. God be with you, my friend, until we meet again.
