I was so sorry to hear recently of Jan's passing. She was such a creative force and amazing naturalist. I was glad I got to share some time with her at EBRPD. My sympathies to all of the family.

While I was employed at Ardenwood Historic Farm I came to know Jan...what a fascinating human being she was. Her knowledge of so many things was so impressive to me. I really appreciated the program she started to teach children what life was like for Victorian children on the farm. She also had a program called "Treasures of the Trunk" that truly engaged the children in every way. She was truly kind, and I looked up to her as a mentor. Rest in Peace, Dear Jan. With Much Love
