Cecile Desilets Obituary
Cecile was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy-Bay View, class of 1950, and went on to attend fashion school in New York City and became an accomplished Seamstress. She owned and operated her own business "Cecile's" for many years and specialized in making wedding and prom dresses. Her services were highly sought after and she often a long waiting list. Cecile was a communicant of St. Jean the Baptiste Parish and belonged to the Church choir. She served for many years on the Board of Directors for the Association of Canadian – Americans and went on many trips to Paris and Canada.
Cecile is survived by several cousins and close friends.
Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 4-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St. Warren, RI 02885. Burial will be private.

Cecile was a lovely neighbor for our family. Our little girls called her Memere, as they thought she was another grandmother. She was a delight to talk with as a neighbor and a fellow parishioner at St. Jean's and SMB.

Cecile, you were a great friend i miss being able to be with all of our parish familys. I really miss choir, and making Christmas crafts.Cents we moved to Attleboro. Danielles prom dress was amazing. RIP
