The Hayward Lions recognized Carl as our 68th Annual Distinguished Citizen of the Year back in 2000 for all of the wonderful works he performed in our community. It was a pleasure having him return to our annual luncheons. He was soft-spoken, hard-working, and interesting. It was an honor to know him. You'll be missed.
