Daniel Robak was born August 4th, 1922 in Lime, Colorado to Joseph and Helen Robak.
Dan and his family moved to Richmond, California where he attended Richmond High School. He joined the Army Air Force and was a Private First Class in World War II. After the war he returned to Richmond and was employed at the Chevron Laboratory until his retirement. He and his wife Edna (deceased in 2014) lived in Albany for over 50 Years. Dan lived near Golden Gate Fields and was known to bet his $2.00 on a regular basis. He also loved to bowl. His highest score was 299. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on his deck in the sun and listening to any baseball or football game he could find.
Before his passing Dan's home was Gabriel's house a board and care home in Concord, California.
He is survived by his nieces Joan Ostenberg (Gary) and Jana Castelan (Michael). Dan's brother's Joe and John, his sister Mary and nephew Glenn are deceased.
Dan will be interred at a private memorial at the National Veteran' Cemetery in Dixon, California. Many thanks to the Ray Tessendorf family, the caregivers at Gabriel House and Lifeguard Hospice for giving their love & care to Dan.
