Jesse Pruneda Obituary

Lifetime Resident of Decoto
Jesse is survived by his two children Jesse Pruneda Jr. and Veronica Pruneda of Union City, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; His brother Richard Pruneda of Tracy, and 3 sisters, Carol Ramos, Lucy Garcia and Paz Pruneda all of Union City and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Roman and Margaret Pruneda, and his brothers Ramon Pruneda, Robert Pruneda and baby brothers Peter David Pruneda.
Our dad was a U.S. Marine who served in the Vietnam War and was also a die hard Raider fan. Many remember our dad riding through the streets of Decoto every morning at 5-6 a.m. doing his daily patrol. He was a very strong man as he fought the good fight of cancer for the past 5 years and still got up and walked around until the morning of his very last day. He was a Marine. We are all going to miss him very much.
I love you dad. You will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
All services will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C Street, Union City, CA 94587. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, from 5-8pm with a rosary at 7pm and funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 15, at 10am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.

Hi Dad, it's been one month and one day since you've been gone and I still can't believe it. I look at your picture and it feels as if your still there to reach out to, to talk to and touch, but your not. I will always remember Uncle Jesse as a fighter, even till the end, he faught. He will be missed but will always be remembered by those who knew him. I love you Veronica & Jesse!! ;-)

Veronica & Jesse Jr, I remember my dad (John Corrales Sr.) and your dad hanging out together when we were just kids living in Decoto on 3rd st. They loved to party and have a good time! But one thing I'll never forget is the way they use to laugh when they were together! It alway's made me smile. My condolences to you and your families.

Mr Pruneda... We've met quite a few times however, I am not certain if you would remember me cause its been awhile. I wanted to tell you thank you. You see, you are partly responsible for bringing the bestest friend of my life in this world- Veronica. You created awesome off spring. I've known your kids for 27 years and they HAVE turned out to be such beautiful people. I am so blessed to be a part of their lives. Please rest now.. you & your family have suffered long enough. Time to shine with the rest of the stars.
