Paul Raymond Stevens
August 26, 1937 - April 11, 2024
ELKO - Paul Raymond Stevens, aged 86, from Elko, Nevada, passed away on April 11, 2024. Born on August 26, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paul served his country as a Navy veteran. Following his military tenure, he embarked on a successful career at State Farm Insurance, where his tireless commitment and proficiency shone brightly.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul found consternation and joy in playing golf, a passion he cherished dearly. His adeptness on the golf course and his profound love for the game will forever be etched in the memories of those who knew him. Next to his love for golf is also enshrined his love of silly dad jokes and a megawatt smile.
Paul is survived by his cherished daughters, Bari Stevens-Chapman and Sian Huggins. Step-daughters, Susan, Jane Ann, and Barbara. Grandchildren he loved Michael, Sonya, Stephanie, Rhys, Lincoln, and Cooper. Paul was blessed to know and love his great grandchildren Mackenzie, Caydin, Leah, Mia, Amare, Kemp, and the lovely Grace. He now reunites with his beloved wife, Della Jane Stevens, whom he deeply missed since her passing. Preceding him in death were his siblings Rita Lapham, Sharon Moore, EL Stevens, and Larry Stevens and beloved grandson Quinten.
A funeral service is scheduled for June 28 at 9 am to honor and celebrate Paul's life at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Elko. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions to our memorial scholarship fund in lieu of flowers. Paul and I met at work for State Farm in 1979 and were friends since. We were friends outside work and often partnered in Golf tournaments. He was also a member of a group of 8 who took golfing trips. Paul and Jane were good friends. I have a lot of good memories about our times together. Paul and I emailed the last few years and I had not heard from him and had been trying to reach out to him for some time. Finally had my daughter do a search and found the sad news. My condolences to his family.

Paul was one of the first people my husband and I met when moving to Elko in 1989. He was our insurance agent but we consideed Paul a friend. Even after selling his agency, Paul always spoke. Heaven is definitely a friendlier with Paul and Jane there. To Paul's family: your memories will dry your tears and make you smile.
