David George Obituary
David was born Feb. 7, 1945 in St. Louis, son of Anthony George and wife Annie, nee Otten. On Feb. 14, 1966, he was united in marriage to Lucy Howell Garlock and five children came to bless this union.
David was a graduate of O'Fallon High School in St. Louis, where he was a star on the football and pole-vaulting team. He had a passion for body building and was named Mr. Missouri at the age of 16. David started out his working career as a welder and then a hairdresser. He built and owned American Fitness Center in Ballwin. David spent 45 years as president of Aqua Pools in St. Clair before his retirement. Working was a vital part of David's life but what meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all.
David is survived by his wife, Lucy George, Lonedell; four children, Lee P. George and wife Mary, Plainview, Texas, Tavis George and wife Jeannie, St. Clair, MacLain George, Lonedell, and Stephanie Skiles, Ellisville; son-in-law, John Todd, New Castle, Delaware; sister-in-law, Chris George, Florida; grandchildren, Heather Calderon, Anthony George and wife Alice, Jacqulyn George and fianc? Abran Avila, Lee Todd, Elizabeth Todd, Ian George, Szandor Parker and Katelyn Skiles; great-granddaughter, Lucy George; nieces; nephews; great and great-great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Annie George; one daughter, Carmen Todd; daughter-in-law, Jessica George; and brother, Dennis George.
A private committal will take place at a later date.
The George family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.

Dave was an inspiration to me when we were both 16 at O'Fallon High. He taught me a great deal about bodybuilding back when bodybuilding was about health. Now at 78 I still lift weights, and I know, that even today I can't outlift him in the benchpress. So sorry Lucy.
