Kenneth J. Schulte Jr., 64, Washington, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Kenneth, son of the late Kenneth Schulte Sr. and Bonnie nee Lewis, was born July 17, 1961, in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School.
In his early 30s, he followed his dreams and relocated to California. A short time later, he returned to the Washington area to begin his career in the construction industry, where he worked as a distributor for Marsh Cabinets. During these formative years, he developed a deep and lasting friendship with Rodney Marquart of ?Rodney's Rental.? Kenny was often found lending a hand at Rodney's store. Over time, Kenny became such a cherished presence in the Marquart household that the children affectionately began calling him ?Uncle Kenny.??
Kenny had a deep passion for music, with a particular love for playing the guitar. Throughout his life, he was a devoted member of several bands, including ?Saturday Night Special,? ?Split Decision,??and ?Rampage.? His musical talent and enthusiasm brought joy to countless friends and audiences. His love for performing remained a defining thread woven through the years.
Kenny approached every project with unwavering dedication and a sharp eye for detail, consistently striving for excellence in all he did. His commitment and hard work earned him numerous awards during his time at Lowe's, both in Wentzville and Washington. He took particular pride in helping customers and friends with their home remodeling projects, finding genuine joy in ensuring every detail was just right.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles.
Among his survivors are two sisters, Peggy Kampschroeder and husband Jerry, and Sherrie Terschluse and husband Tim, all of Washington; five nieces and nephews, Stephanie Miller, New Haven, Kevin Monzyk Jr. and significant other Danielle Murrell, Washington, Kody Monzyk and wife Lauren, Union, Nicholas Terschluse and wife Trista, and Brittany Backs and husband Jace, all of Washington; great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones and friends.
Among his special friends were Rodney and Lisa Marquart and their children, Sam Marquart, Christine Marquart; Shawn Polston and fiance Kirsten Hill, and their son Wyatt.
A visitation was held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Gertrude's Church in Krakow with interment in the church cemetery.

Shriners Hospital for Children or
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Schulte family is being served by Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
