Kevin Poertner Obituary

Kevin A. Poertner, 66, Sullivan, formerly of Washington, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Kevin, son of Orval Poertner and Barbara DeMarco, was born on June 10, 1959, in St. Louis. Kevin enjoyed drawing race cars and various art projects while attending Eureka Elementary and Washington High school.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Poertner.

Among his survivors are his father, Orval Poertner and wife Janet, Owensville; mother, Barbara Bute, Washington; four siblings, Kimberly Yenzer and husband Charles, Washington, Tina Poertner of Littleton, Colorado, Jeana Rowe and husband Stephan of Waxahachie, Texas, and Brigid Bute, St. Louis; cousins and many friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 20, at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Community Cemetery in Robertsville.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
