Sue Geisler Obituary

Mrs. Sue Carol Geisler, 78, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Sue was born in St. Louis, on August 19, 1946. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sue was married to Arlie Alvin Geisler on May 26, 1962. He survives with their son, Duaine Geisler, daughter-in-law, Tina, and grandson, Isaac, all of Summerville; sister, Edna Forbes, House Springs, Missouri; brother, Edward Dodson Jr., Missouri; as well as many nieces and nephews in Georgia and Missouri.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Dodson Sr. and Nova Grace; stepfather, Eugene Grace; and sister, Faith Crabtree.

Sue was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 3, 1958, and enjoyed sharing her faith and studying the Bible with others. She also enjoyed watching many of her Bible students grow spiritually and mature to baptism.

In the mid 2000's, she and Arlie started learning Spanish and joined the Spanish group that met at the Sullivan Kingdom Hall. They really enjoyed and loved using Spanish in the ministry. Sue enjoyed all of the conventions, but especially the International ones, attending two in Atlanta as well as Chile. In 2015, Sue, Arlie and Isaac traveled to Ecuador for one.

Sue was known for her loving hospitality to everyone who visited her home.

When she was younger, she really enjoyed fishing, especially for crappie at Porter Mill Springs, Lake of the Ozarks, with family and friends. In the last few years, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying out new recipes for Arlie to taste. Sue enjoyed listening to the Kingdom Melodies and original songs on JW Broadcasting and JW Library throughout the day.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of our family, friends and spiritual brothers and sisters here and in Missouri for their never failing love, support and prayers and their willingness to quickly come to the aid of our family and giving practical support and love to help ease our grief during this time.
