David Kendall Obituary

A Loving Grandfather David C. Kendall, Sr., age 69, an Erie resident all of his life, died Tuesday afternoon, February 23, 2010, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Erie, July 23, 1940, son of the late Clyde E. Kendall, Sr. and Agnes Rosenberg Kendall. He was a tax accountant for the IRS and several non-profit organizations for many years. Dave was a 1959 graduate of Academy High School and then attended Penn State University and Gannon University. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and loved antiques, real estate and especially his family. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kristina Fromen Kendall; one son, David C. Kendall, Jr. of Chicago; one daughter, Julie Pendleton and her husband, Thomas of Erie and one brother, Clyde E. Kendall, Jr. and his wife Janice of Erie. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Sarah and Emily Pendleton and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of Pine Ave. and East Gore Road, I-90 Exit 29). A service will be held there Friday at 10 a.m. officiated by Rev. James Moelk. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Penn State Libraries Future Fund in memory of David C. Kendall, 510 Paterno Library, University Park, PA 16802. To send condolences, visit www.icgerie.com.
