Dear Ricky and Dana,
So sorry I wasn't there for the funeral. I've been thinking about you though. As a little kid, I always enjoyed spending time with you and Uncle Freddy and Aunt Irv, and your beautiful dog (Richa?). Grandma Helen's house lit up when you and your family came down on Christmas eve! I'll miss your Dad a lot. My Dad sends his wishes to both of you.

To Rick & Sandy, So sorry for your loss in more ways than one. I can only tell you as a child Uncle Fred was kind to me. Giving me icecream cones and letting a little 4/5 year old plunk on a great piano in his restaurant. Uncle Fred gave out $5's to children long before it became popular by way of a hand clap.(A funny parity of a high five only in cash )Only no one ever had to say "give me 5" to Uncle Fred. His 5 dollar signature hand out, was before he said good bye. Time has been decades since I last saw Uncle Fred. As life alters our paths with friends and family.
The end of an era. Good bye Uncle Fred, thanks for the $5 back in 1959 that made one little kid say WOW a whole five dollars! With a free ice cream who can beat that?
Sorry not to have gone to the furneral home, my health prevented me.

Rick & Dana and families. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Freddie for quite awhile, at Frederico's Port of Call and on Eighth Street with Freddie and Joe. I really know what it is like to lose parents. We are really sorry we could not be there in person. God Bless All of You.

I will always be thankful for the brightest smile I have ever met in my life. I met Freddy on my tenth birthday and he served me lunch and a very special birthday cake from Fredricos. That was so special for me. I last saw Freddy in Phx. and he couldn't tell my brother and me enough stories. I will always have a place in my heart for you young man. Heaven is a better place now. Rick--I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I will not be able to attend his viewing on Monday because I work until 9:00pm but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I will always remember you from the Gannon days. You were always looking for part time jobs to earn extra money. You worked very hard to get where you are and I am so proud of you.

You would not remember me, but your Dad and Mother lived in the same flat on 29th St with me many, many years ago.Your were a little toddler. But I was very close to both your Mom, Irvine and your Dad. I use to go the the Office Lounge with your Mom and your Dad was very very kind to us. You and my oldest son are the same age and your Mom and I spent alot of time together. I will never forget either one of them. I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your sister.

I grew up a few doors away from Freddy in Little Italy. He was my idol. He was tall, dark and handsome and always a gentleman. I was 10 yrs younger and he took a special interest in me and always advised me in the right road to take in life. He was a strong political supporter in all my campigns. He loved my brother Italo. We were very close. I will miss him. I will keep him in my prayers.
