Hazel Ann Koszewski

1938 - 2021

Hazel Ann (Miller) Koszewski, 83, of North East, passed peacefully, in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born on June 4, 1938, in North East, the daughter of the late Clyde Miller Sr. and Beatrice (Albee) Miller.

She graduated from North East High School and later was employed by BCM Foods as a supervisor until her retirement in 1985. Hazel enjoyed volunteering her time at several charities. She loved playing bingo, her pony, Casper, and was proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and everything they accomplished.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Koszewski Jr. in 1985; sister, Martha Bartlett; brothers, Clyde Miller Jr., Frank John Miller; great-granddaughters, Madison Renee Foster, Alyssa R. Hearn, and Precious Angel.

Hazel is survived by her children, William C. Koszewski (Kathy) of North East, Edward Koszewski (Paula) of North East, JoAnn Youngs (Douglas) of North East, Diane Wolf (Donnie) of North East, Daniel Koszewski (Sonya) of North East; two estranged sons, James and Stanley; brother, Joseph Elmer Miller (Florence) of Little Hope; 28 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake Street, North East, on Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and are invited to the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. for a funeral service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rick Maas. Interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park St., North East.
