Mary Timmins Obituary
Hanover - Mary C. Timmins, age 91, entered into God's eternal care on May 6, 2021 at Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg. She was the loving wife of the late Francis A. Timmins, who passed away 2016.
Mary was born in Adams County on May 5, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Ruth Ann (Smith) Hensel. She went on to graduate from Delone Catholic High School before completing nursing school in Baltimore. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore for 20 years before moving to Hanover Hospital, where she worked for 30 years before retiring. Mary was a member of the Hanover Hospital Retirees Club and Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, McSherrystown.
Mary is survived by her niece Cindy Garland; and her cousins Christine Reynold and husband Barry, and Suzette Groft. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Cyril J. Hensel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM at Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 26 N. 3Rd St. McSherrystown PA 17344, with Rev. Charles Persing officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory can be made to Our Lady of Victory Homes, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218 or Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 26 N. Third St., McSherrystown, PA 17344.
