BARBARA RAE SKELTON Barbara Rae Skelton, 69, of Blue Springs passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the chapel. Barbara was born July 24, 1954, in Rolla, Mo., to Raymond Marion and Mabel Edna (Leonard) Wagner. She grew up in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School in 1972. She had worked as a lab technician for several orthodontist offices for 26 years until she retired in 1999. She was married to John Mark Skelton on May 1, 1976. He survives of the home. She is also survived by a son, Barry Skelton, of Independence, Mo. Other survivors include two sisters, Patricia Brashear of Wentzville, Mo., and Becky Melton and husband Jim of Lake Mary, Fla.; four nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother and sister Billy Earl Wagner and Betty Mae Benton and two nephews.
