Devin Allen Obituary
Devin Allen, 39, of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
Cremation is to take place with a private family service to be held at a later date in Cape Girardeau.
Devin was born on January 18, 1978, in Independence, MO to James and Linda (Liebeknecht) Allen. After graduation from Truman High School he earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Missouri. He traveled abroad to teach English in Turkey. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, playing guitar, cooking and writing.
Devin will be remembered by his mother Linda Allen of Independence, MO and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Frederick Allen in 2013.

Lived next to and spent every year-nearly every day, in fact-of university with Devin. Seeing this obituary was like getting punched in the stomach; much of who I am was shaped by him.
