George Knotts Obituary


George Knotts, age 86, died peacefully in his home on February 13, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Community of Christ Church, 531 W. Main, Lamoni, Iowa.

George was born in a log cabin in Oklahoma in 1931, to Charles and OLola (Clark) Knotts. George loved his family, KU Jayhawks, cheering for the Graceland University Women's Soccer team and most importantly serving Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth; his five children, Dan (and Susan) Knotts, Stretch Knotts, and Deb (and Shane) Skinner of Lamoni, Iowa, John Knotts of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, and Ruth (and Michael) Seagraves of Sacramento, California; his grandchildren: Caleb Knotts of Eugene, Oregon, Jordan Knotts and Samantha Skinner of Lamoni, and Georgia, Maya and Kendra Seagraves of Sacramento; and niece, Leah Anderson of Vinita, Oklahoma.

In December every year, I received from George an original handcrafted Christmas Card proclaiming the presence and power of Jesus Christ. Out of the envelope sprung his love for me and for his Savior.
I miss you George.
You always made me feel loved and special.
Thank You.
