Phillip Dorn Obituary

Faribault - Phillip J. "Phil" Dorn, age 75 of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Faribault Senior Living following an extended illness.

Phillip Joseph, the son of Willard and Lois (Weir) Dorn was born on November 2, 1948 in Mankato, MN. He attended Mankato West High School and graduated with the class of 1968. Following high school, Phil served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Navy Phil was employed by the United States Postal Service for 32 years. Phil loved his job and the relationships he formed with the customers he served. He was a member of the American Legion Post 43, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2098 and the Knights of Columbus #889, all of Faribault.

He is survived by his siblings, John Dorn of Mankato, MN, Dave (Pat) Dorn of Rochester, MN and Mike Dorn of California and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Kay (Bill) Pritchard.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge #2098 in Faribault.

Phil's body was donated to the Mayo Clinic. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN at a later date.
