I'd like to dedicate this to Charlie.

ONE OF YOUR KIND

It's been a great life, Lord.
I've loved being loved by you.
It's been everything I could ask for,
this journey you've brought me through.

I've loved being part of your family.
I've loved being one of your kind.
I've loved being loved by the Lover of life
and kept by the Keeper of time.

It's not all been rainbows,
blue skies and sunshine and dew.
Storm clouds and teardrops
have swept through the picture,
but, Lord, I just held on to you.

Thanks for the years, Lord,
the minutes, the hours, the days;
for keeping them all in the palm of your hand
and helping me walk in your way.

I've loved being part of your family.
I've loved being one of your kind.
I've loved being loved by the Lover of life
and kept by the Keeper of time.

For Charlie, c. Donna Swanson
