Norma Easter

West Lebanon - Norma Jean (Horath) Easter, 47, West Lebanon, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Monday, May 18, 2015, at 3:56 a.m. after battling multiple myeloma.
Norma was born in Lafayette, on March 7, 1968. She was the daughter of the Clara Lucille (Strater) Horath of Attica and the late Charles A. Horath. Norma was the youngest of eleven children and was raised in Tab. She graduated from Benton Central High School. She later moved to New Tazwell, Tenn. and lived for many years until she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and moved back to be with family in West Lebanon five years ago.
Norma formerly worked at Randy's Town Market in West Lebanon. After moving to New Tazwell, Tenn., Norma worked for the local IGA near Arthur, Tenn.
Norma was a very active member of the Covington Assembly of God Church. She was not shy about sharing her faith with friends and strangers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind a daughter, Kayla (John) Hileman, West Lafayette; two grandchildren, Ethan Easter and Carson Lowery, both of West Lafayette; she is expecting twins to be born in the very near future; two brothers, Bud Horath, Williamsport and Fred Horath, Attica; eight sisters, Joyce Compton, Pat Richter, Janet Richter, all of Danville, Ill.; Evelyn Black, Rossville, Ill.; Linda Searcy, Attica; Cathy (Jamie) Bogdas, Sarasota, Fla.; Sharon (Jack) Taylor, Lafayette and Marilyn (Moe) Moore, Williamsport; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on May 21 with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating. Cremation will follow with inurnment in the Locust Grove Cemetery near Ambia at a later date.
