Alex Hess Obituary

Hess, Alex J.

Alex J. Hess, 85 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Hospice Home of Hope.

He was born in Milwaukee on February 1, 1927, the son of Alexander and Inez Hess Sr. On June 26, 1948, he married Donna Knutson at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Alex was retired carpenter working for Fond du Lac School System for 20 years. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church where he volunteered and ushered. He was a skilled carpenter building a computerized bus for the Fond du Lac School System. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and was a foster parent for many years.

SURVIVORS: Alex is survived by his wife Donna Hess, a son Brian Hess, two brothers, Warren (Yvonne) Hess, and Robert Warner. He is further survived by two sister-in-laws Helen Farvour-Bryant and Dorothy (David) Schroeder, numerous nieces, nephews who loved "Uncle" and great-nieces and nephews. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Grace (Art) Friedl, brother-in-law Walter Farvour, two sister-in-laws Virginia Hess and Nancy Warner.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive. Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend David Pavesic will officiate. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Ledgeview Memorial Park.

Memorials appreciated to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church- Building Fund.

Al was always a great guy.
I remember how hard he also
helped at Redemmer School to
do what ever he could to give help.He will be missed
