Della Wischnefski Obituary
Della Rena Wischnefski, 103 (and one month shy of 104) died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence in Fond du Lac. She was born February 26, 1911 in Cloquet, MN a daughter of Herman and Emma (Hagenau) Beaster. She moved to North Fond du Lac at the age of 7. Della married Herbert Wischnefski on May 4, 1935. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1968.
She worked at Fraziers Restaurant as a cook for nine years and then worked at Tolibia Cheese in the lab for 12 years. She spent most of her life in North Fond du Lac and the Fond du Lac area. Della was a charter member of Luther Memorial Church.
Della is survived by her daughter Linda (Robert) Huelsman, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Helen Wischnefski. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Bruce, her parents, 5 brothers; Oscar, Ervin, Earl, Lindor and Melvin and 2 sisters; Joyce Becker and Alma (Clark) Woodruff.
A visitation for Della will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Luther Memorial Church, 134 21st Street in Fond du Lac. The service will follow at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Neal Radichel officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Della's memory.
