Jeanne Weinberger Obituary
Of Waupaca, age 65, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Thedacare Appleton Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac on April 8, 1951 to the late Robert "Bob" and Mary Elizabeth "Candy" (Caine) Weinberger. Jeanne was a 1969 graduate of Oakfield High School and attended various universities including MIT.
Over the years Jeanne was employed at Weinberger's Market, WISN-TV 12, Mercury Marine, TelMark Sales, Inc., West Corp and Alpine Access. Her happiest times included her volunteer work, including 12 years with the Exploring Division-Boy Scouts of America, working on local, regional and national levels. Through BSA she received the following: Advisor of the Year, Unit of the Year and Bronze Big Horn. She was also nominated for the Silver Beaver Award.
She is survived by sisters: Catherine (Mark Schumerth) Porter of St. Pete Beach, FL; Michelle Weinberger-Burns and Mary Lee Lane both of Waupaca; Julie (Tim Lang) Weinberger of Green Bay; and Peggy Anderson of Augusta, GA; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephew. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Scott and brother-in-law, Michael Burns.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 5, 2017. Memorials will be directed to the Scott Weinberger Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.maplecrestfh.com
