Ray Totz Obituary

Totz, Ray B.

Ray B. Totz, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his home.

He was born on June 15, 1930, in the town of Eldorado, a son of Herman and Minnie Denzin Totz.

Ray served with the United States Army from 1952-1954, during the occupation of Germany.

On September 7, 1957, he married Shirley M. Schwartz at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2002.

He was employed with Mercury Marine for over 41 years.

Ray was a member of Church of Our Saviour Ev. Lutheran. He enjoyed farming, gardening, cooking, and gambling. He loved dogs, especially his dog, Max.

He is survived by four children, twins, Rae Ann (Steve) Jurgensmeier of Fond du Lac; and Thomas Ray (Sandra) Totz of West Palm Beach, Florida; Mary (Don) Geiser of Hilbert; and Denise (Randy) Korb of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; a grandson, Albert; a sister, Eleanor Miller; a sister-in-law, Louise Klawitter; and three half brothers: William, Clifford, and Albert.

The visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. Matthew Agee officiating.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, in Calvary Cemetery, with the American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75 conducting military rites.

Special thanks to Agnesian Home Health Care and Hospice, Drs. Aaron Johnson, Brett Pasiuk, Michael Vander Kooy, and his nurse, Tammie, and Dr. Kumar for their care and compassion shown to Ray and his family.

Hello Tom,
My condolences to you and your entire family with your DAD'S passing. You made time for regular visits to your father, so cherish those significant memories that you shared with your dad never to be forgotten, and don't look down, but look up and know he will be offered the Peace and Comfort along with other significant family members who took the journey ahead of him!
