John Linnell Obituary

JOHN LINNELL MELBOURNE BEACH John N. Linnell, 77, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008. John was born in Denmark, Maine on December 27, 1930 and came from a closely-knit family with eight surviving sib lings, Robert, Beverly, Virgil, Bill, Nathan, Lloyd, Becky and Nordica. He is also survived by his wife, Brenda; sons, Curtis and Ian and his wife Luzbett, from his first marriage to Hope. John was always around the water, sailing or fishing. He joined the Navy shortly after the Korean crises. His sea duty was aboard the USS Hollis before being transferred to Bermuda where his two sons still reside. John spent the last 35 years in Melbourne Beach, but motor homed extensively around the US and enjoyed many cruises elsewhere. His favorite fishing spot was Sebastian Inlet. All will remember his loving, caring, generosity and especial ly his wit. Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 9th, at the Community Chapel in Melbourne Beach at 1 p.m. Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne is serving the family, (321) 723-2345. www.brownliemaxwell.com
