Catherine Ann Beauchemin

PHELPS– Catherine Ann Beauchemin age 88, died on Friday November 24, 2023 at Geneva Living Center North.

A memorial service will be held in the Spring. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring.

It is requested that memorial donations be made to the United Church of Phelps 58 Main Street Phelps, or the Phelps American Legion 1346 State Route 96 Phelps N.Y. 14532.

Ann was born on May 24, 1935 in Canandaigua, N.Y. the daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine Burke Fairchild. She graduated from Red Jacket High School and Rochester Business Institute. She married Benjamin Beauchemin in 1955. Ann was a member of the Phelps American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. For many years, Ann worked at Woolworth. She enjoyed working in the garden, crocheting hats and blankets for hospitals and making poppies for the Legion. Ann also enjoyed Shuffleboard Tournaments, bowling and she loved to dance.

She is survived by her children Kathy Beauchemin of Canandaigua, Sharon (Ron) Beauchemin Brink of Texas, Helen (George Patterson) Beauchemin Weed of Bloomfield, Mike (Kathy) Beauchemin of Clifton Springs; grandchildren Shannon (Chad) Forkner, Brian (Kim) Devine-Brink, Brandon Brink, Tiffany Luther, Megan (Jack Cooper) Weed, Derek and Kevin Barkley, Amanda Thompson and Jordan (Aidan) Beauchemin; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Benjamin; daughter Renee Beauchemin Barkley; son in laws, Chuck Barkley and Paul Weed; brother Clarence Fairchild and sister Helen Dunay.

Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
